Shannon is the owner and head coach at Destination 850. She grew up doing competitive gymnastics and transitioned to cheerleading and diving in high school. She cheered for her high school team as well as Polk County Galaxy and Top Gun Tennessee. Shannon went on to cheer at the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness, specializing in coaching and sports injuries. She has over 17 years in coaching experience and 5 years of judging experience. She coaches the cheerleading teams at Destination 850, runs the preschool program, and coaches several tumbling and school team classes. Shannon worked at Universal Studios in Orlando as a stilt walker and trained in aerial silk. You can see her in the movie “Bring It On; In It to Win It” as a cheerleader on the Prairie Dog cheer team.
COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Shannon has coach teams levels 1-6, the Pryor Middle School cheerleaders, Destin High School cheerleaders and the National Champions cheerleaders from Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She is currently the head cheer coach for Northwest Florida State College. She has worked with many cheerleaders that went on to cheer in colleges such as: University of Central Florida, University of Florida, Florida International University, Florida State University, University of Tennessee, Austin Peay State University, Wallace State, University of South Florida, Northwest Florida State College, University of West Florida, Auburn University, University of Louisiana- Monroe, Florida Southern College, and many more.
